Default Fall splendor

I just stumbled onto a site yesterday that all scrapbookers should be interested in. There are 67 designers participating in a free "Fall Splendor" Blog Party. I just bought a new 750 gig external hard drive and yesterday started downloading all the kits. Some sites are slow and some are fast. The designers are from all over the world. You will have to hunt around on their site and click on September to find the Fall Splendor Blog Party. Along with the Fall Splendor kits, each site has more "freebies". The Fall Splendor kits will only be on line until Halloween. This is an awesome opportunity to get all the free papers and elements you could ever want. Here is the link:

P.S. I found that I can download more than one kit at a time on my computer so try it with yours>

Hi Cruiser, I haven't gotten into scrap booking because the MyPublisher books have been quick and so easy to do. Would enjoy it. It just seems so expensive, time consuming and I don't want to get hooked on another type of craft. Also with the digital online books it's easy to share. I know it's too late to upload these, but are they just pages that you print, then use for attaching photos to. Seems like it would use a lot of printer ink and assuming they're 12 x 12 size, how do you print the pages?

A 750 gig external hard drive must be great for storing everything you could possibly want.

You can do scrapbooks like you normally do, or like I do. I use all of the backgrounds and elements to add digital pages in Photoshop or Elements. Then I save my page as a .jpeg and bring it in to my MyPublisher books. If you are a CostCo member, you can order Elements 7 on line and included is a free DVD with scrapbooking lessons. It doesn't come except with the CostCo version.

In the scrapbook section of this forum, several books were posted by Marti. She uses Power Point instead of Photoshop but the idea is the same. It gives you options for different page layouts. I usually use the Just Photos book or any book and the full bleed page option.

I did a family album dating back several generations and developed them all using this technique. After several books looking the same, many people like to expand. Many of the Wedding albums you see posted are done this way.

I download free pages, elements, backgrounds anywhere I can find them. Then I have a large selection to choose from. The secret is not to develop a too busy page. A simple background and some elements elegantly show off your photos. I don't do scrapbooks where I put pictures in...I let MyPublisher do the printing for me.

Thanks for a more detailed explanation. I'm a Costco member and will definitely order Elements 7 and try it out. Marti has been an inspiration and I've enjoyed what she's done. Looking forward to expanding my horizons in the field of photo books. Just did 3 books using the Costco promotion with 55% off and I'm happy with them, but want to do more creative pages for future books.
