Hi There,
Just ordered 3 books in different sizes and have looked at them online and see that a few of the pages double spreads don't match up quite right. I've been using Adobe Indesign CS3 for making the books and they look amazing using this double spread possibilty. I took extra time when dropping the pages into the myphotobook program and reviewed them over and over and they looked corrected matching up but online now some pages are off quite a bit especially where arms should match up. Is the final online preview exactly how it will be printed???

cheers,

Ritchie

Hi Ritchie -

No, it's not. There is always a margin of error both on screen as well as in person. It's kind of a trial and error thing because each page is cut and then the binding swallows up some of the image as well.

Hi Again,

thanks for the quick reply.......I took into account for the swallowing up part as being ok but what i was referring to was the jux of positioning being up and down where the pages don't meet. Are the pages matched up as much as possible during the binding process???

cheers again

Hi Ritchie -
Yes and no, they are all cut first, then bound. Therefore the cutting has to be accurate for the binding to be. There is a very small margin of potential error.

Hope this helps! Honestly there is just no way to tell for sure.
