I have had trouble with my last 10 or so mypublisher books-- if you are just a bit observant, you can see a 'shadow' of tiny blue dots under most images in the deluxe books, and in between the images, where the paper should have no ink on it whatsoever. The standard books have this where they 'modern' templates are used-- especially beside the three stacked images.

Mypublisher has been kind enough to issue replacements after recognizing the problem, but these have had the same flaw! This is unacceptable for wedding albums for my clients.

Now I am getting no response... what's up guys? Has the printing method changed? Has anyone else noticed this flaw?

Hi Melia -

Where are you getting no response from? Can I help? As stated on the customer support page, they will reply but response time is a bit longer than usual.

To answer your question...no the printing process has not changed.
Are you using our layouts or creating your own?

I guess it's possible that there is some bleed but for it to happen all of your last 10 books is worrisome to me.

I will ask our printing folks about it.
Sincerely,
MyPublisher

Hi,

My last response was Nov 4th from Sue saying the issue would be forwarded on to Mary, who was dealing with me when this happened. I've heard nothing since, despite a probing email Thurs.

I returned a book with the problem at Mary's request so that they could see it-- a shadow of tiny dots under almost every image which did not extend to the bottom of the page in the deluxe editions, as well as between the images. In the standard editions it appears with certain templates, as I mentioned, and between (in what should be pure white space) most images. I am not using any other templates, I'm making the books exactly as I've made them many times before.
Mary said she and her colleague recognized the problem and had alerted the production team to watch for it, so I re-uploaded all my books and they all came back to me with the same problem! ALL of them! Obviously alerting the staff doesn't actually fix the problem. I did not appreciate having to pay duty of $12 on every useless book I received either, as I will have to pay it again when the useful editions finally arrive--which I hope they will.
I have about a dozen books to upload and print or re-print now, and am just waiting to hear when I can go ahead. I am a wedding photographer and I need my products to look good-- white space should be uniformly white. I am also getting a bit stressed out because I am past several contracted delivery deadlines, so not hearing back from you guys for days and days puts me on edge.
Now so much time has lapsed that I'm past the costco discount as well... which I'd like to discuss. Does your customer support policy forbid you to make phone calls? I'd really like to hear what's going on and have left my number requesting this several times.
Cheers,
melia
