I just finished a Classic 86-page book called ?Nature?s Wonders? and it?s probably the best book I?ve made so far, after about 13 others. The book is about hiking trips my husband and I took in 2004-05 in Arizona and Nevada. Many of the pages in this book were done as scrapbook layouts in PowerPoint, saved as .jpg?s, and placed on the pages. Here?s the link if you?re interested:

Please read all the other messages under "Scrapbooks" to get the answers to questions on how certain page designs are achieved. There seems to be a lot of discussion about whether PowerPoint is appropriate for use in a MyPublisher book, but as you can see with this example, it works beautifully and I have not manipulated the PowerPoint software in any way. The photos were taken 2-3 years ago on a $400 Canon point-and-shoot camera at the highest resolution setting.
I?m also going to post this link under the forum heading ?Travel? because people not interested in scrapbooking may not see it under "Scrapbooks".

Hi, Marti,
I just looked at your album (loved it) and am very inspired by your book! Having been to Sedona and the Grand Canyon with my family in the summer, maybe I should do the same thing . . . Thank you for sharing, and I will definitely be tapping into this help resource soon. I love this site! I have been using Kodak Easy Share Gallery for years; but when I saw that you could actually use pictures on the covers of books (which KESG doesn't offer), I was sold. A friend of mine came to my son's track meet with a completed book, and I couldn't believe the quality of the enlargements in the presentation! <big eyes> Very impressive, and I'm equally impressed by your work. Great job! I'll be looking forward to seeing more of your books over time (please continue to share them).
I also looked at your twin granddaughters' book, which is phenomenal!! <clap, clap!> You are truly gifted at this task of laying out photo books.
Blessings to you this Christmas season. :)

Hi Heather and Photo Op Mom,
Thanks for all the compliments! It sure is nice to think that someone else likes your work (other than family and friends)! I will post more of my books, but sometimes they contain names and personal info, so I don't post them publicly. I've done 16 books now, but only 10 of them in MyPublisher (MP), although it's still my favorite bookmaker. I've also made 5-6 jackets for other books with companies that didn't offer them. I like being able to see the title on the spine.
I use PowerPoint to create my pages because I like the 10 x 7.5 landscape option. It closely matches the MP pages, so works well, but I understand that most scrapbook layouts are done in a 12 x 12 format. It works okay too in MP as I've put a few 12 x 12's on a MP page.
Once again, thanks for your kind words, and Happy Holidays to everyone out there!

Thank you, pamlynch3333. I had fun making that one and think it might be my best book yet. BUT there is a glaring error in it, although no one seems to have caught it. On the title page of the "Santa Fe" section, I printed "Santa Fe, Arizona" and of course it should be "Santa Fe, New Mexico". Even on the cover, the title of the book only references "Nevada and Arizona", excluding New Mexico entirely. So when Costco has another 45% off discount, I'll make the changes and reprint the book, but it's frustrating. I re-read that book so many times, and so did my husband, but neither of us caught the error.
