Hi! I know this has been an ongoing problem for some, but just wanted to add my name to the list quite unfortunatly. I had also wanted to make use of either the costco or fall $100 coupon, but I haven't been able to upload anything, despite having tried I couldn't tell you how many times in the past 24+ hours! I was very glad to hear that the coupon(s) had been extended, but I'm starting to feel like I'll never get the chance to take advantage on my books! Please help? Isn't there anythign I can do?

My computers firewalls and antivirus programs are down, I have no popup blockers up, and I know my computer has plenty of memory to allow for an upload, and I also have DSL so my internet connection, although not perfect I'm sure, is fairly speedy! Any ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks so much - I see that this has been an issue, so I apologize for being another 'problem' so to speak, but I really would like to order my book(s)! :)

Thanks again for your time,
Patti

Hi Patti -

No trouble at all...we'll get you thought this. Can you first tell me at what point you are getting stuck exactly? Is your upload failing mid-way? Is your browser launching to access the shopping cart? Are you getting an Internet Connection Required page?

For starters - lets verify you are on BookMaker 2.2...not 2.1

Sincerely,
MyPublisher

Hi! I didn't have a chance to update last night as I was exhausted after it all, but I FINALLY got my book uploaded! I do have version 2.2, so I dont think that was the problem at all. It just kept telling me that the shopping cart was down (I forget the exact words), and to check back in an hour. I tried repeatedly, and persistance paid off as it finally worked! I was SO very excited! This is my first book (if you cant tell), and I have many more that I can't wait to order!!!

I do have one question still (i did email CS and haven't heard anything yet, so if it's easier I'll just tell you here! :) When I was designing the actual book jacket it stated in bookmaker that "Displayed cover is for illustration purposes only - actual color is selected during purchase" So I picked the layout that I wanted to go with, designed my text and photos, and continued on with the rest of the book. The layout was a fullbleed pic on the front cover, and the rest looks to be solid black with a pic on each flap and back cover. I had assumed that this was just the default color that could be changed later during ordering, as the note had stated. Anyway, when I got to the end of the checkout last night I was surprised to see that there was never an option to change the color from black to something different. Did I miss something? I was hoping to simply make the parts of the jacket that were black to white (with the font obviously black instead of the white so that it would show up!) Where is it that you can select the color? If it really prints white that would be fantastic, but I have a feeling that's not the case as it appears black when I viewed it in the 'bookstore'. Any ideas??? I'd really like the cover to be white, as it would go with the rest of the book!!!

Thanks so much for your help and time. It seems like these past couple of weeks have been full of technical issues for you guys, and I understand that you must be very busy! So again, I appreciate you taking the time to read about my dilemmas!

Take care,
Patti

Hi Patti -

Unfortunately, you select the cover color for linen, picture window books only. Not book jackets. Therefore, what you see in bookstore is what you will end up with.

If you are unhappy with your cover, let me know. I see you use BookMaker PC so we can order just a cover as a replacement (I can give you a coupon to do so). I may not get back to you until Monday, but let me know if you need a new Book Jacket cover.

Hi! I'm SO EXCITED....I just got my book today (a couple days earlier than I had anticipated!), and I have to say.....it looks FANTASTIC! My husband and I are absolutly thrilled, and the quality is completely above and beyond what we had anticipated (not that we didn't think it would look great, but it's just so wonderful!). I am a professional photographer, and I can say with certainty that I will be using MP books from now on for my clients as well as our own family!!! I'm truely impressed!

I do however have one small problem; I had thought that perhaps there would be a problem with my book's cover because of how it looked after in the bookstore vs how it looked in bookmaker, but the problem that happened was not what I had anticipated! In bookmaker I have text on both of the inside flaps, and it appears in there perfectly. In the actual book however, the text is cut off a few lines short on both of the flaps. Someone from MP had said that they could get me a coupon code to replace the jacket if it was incorrect. Is this still a possibility? Also, if it *is* possible, how can I design it differently in bookmaker again without it cutting the text short like it did this time?

I really appreciate any help you may have to offer! I'll be ordering some more books very shortly - some more duplicates of the one I just received, and three new ones with duplicates as soon as I finish putting them together in PS! Thank you SO MUCH My Publisher for offering such wonderful, high quality books at prices that aren't absolutly outrageous like other photo books I've ordered for my clients (I won't say who though ;)

I look forward to hearing from you! Take care!
