Hi -

Here is my problem, I've created my book on one computer (# 1), and now need to move it over to another computer (# 2) that already has My Publisher 2.2 installed on it. There are already other photo books that I've already created on computer # 2; so I'm unable to restore the entire Application Data folder for My Publisher from computer # 1 to computer # 2. I've located the folder with the long encrypted name that is for the book I need to move, but copying it into the Application Data folder on computer # 2 did not get MyPublisher to recognize that book as one that I could open.

What can I do now ???

Thank you,

Colleen

Hi Colleen -

The easiest way to move your book file is to EXPORT and IMPORT it, not copy that book file from the Application Data. That file needs to be referenced in multiple places, like the Books.xml file, so just copying and pasting it in won't allow the software to recognize it.

Can you try an import/export?

Sincerely,
MyPublisher

I did try that, because I thought that was what I needed to do, and what happened was that every single image from the "*.dime" file that I exported, and then imported, was blurry and pixelated -- I couldn't even make out what the pictures were supposed to be.

Did I do something wrong, or is there a different setting I should be using ?

Thank you -- I appreciate the quick response !

The images are fine. They may just take a long time to load because the dime files are VERY big in size. They will not print that way. You can also begin working on your book file.

OK, that finally worked for me, going from computer # 1 to computer # 2. I had problems with that when I had originally tried to go from computer # 2 to computer # 1 yesterday -- not sure what happened, but I might try it again to see.

Thank you for the help, it is appreciated !

Thanks, Colleen
