i have to return my laptop to the university this afternoon, and i'm trying to move my almost-completed wedding album from my laptop to a desktop, but when i export the dime file to my jump drive and then try to open the file on my desktop, nothing happens. am i doing this wrong?
if you can respond quickly, it's appreciated! the laptop is due by 4pm and i thought this would be quick...
thank you!!!

i guess i should add a little more detail...
i've installed my publisher onto the desktop, and when i open the dime file on the desktop, my publsher takes me through the steps of creating a new album. it doesn't recognize my existing one.

Did you follow these directions for exporting and importing from our Help section:
To Export your .dime file from the BookMaker software onto your hard drive:
Go to File
Select Export
Select the directory (folder or desktop) where you want to save your book
Name your book file
The Save As type will auto select as a Dime package (a file with the extension .dime)
Click Save
Once you have exported your file, you can Delete the file within BookMaker to maximize memory space.
To Import or put the file (book) back in BookMaker to order or edit:
Go to File
Click on Import
Select the .dime file (your book) from your Desktop or Folder
Click Open. The file will be added to the BookMaker software in your book library.
Hope that helps!

I just tried this. I put the book out on my external share drive. The book is there but when I try to import it, I received the message, "failed to parse the book dime package".

Hello, I'm sorry you are having difficulties with import and export. Sometimes downloading a fresh copy of BookMaker from the website helps, but sometimes unfortunately the book file might have become corrupt. If you still have the original file, I would try to export it again and try to reimport.
