View Full Version : Trying to Purchase at 10PM EST and getting Service Temporarily Unavailable

Trying to purchase and getting this message (copied below)- is this [coupon] volume related or maintenance downtime? What is the best time to purchase (and upload) to still take advantage of the coupon offer?

This has happened to me on several occasions. Mypublisher extended the coupon date but I was still unable to complete my transaction. I kept receiving a computer generated message saying that the problem would be corrected but I was never able to download the book. Definately an isssue that needs attention

HI Mregande -

You can just try your upload again. That is why you got that message...too many people tried to upload all at one time. Let me know if you get it again. If you try in the early morning it tends to be less busy.

5:43 PST...have been trying to get through at least ten times in a row. Bookstore also temporarily busy. I will keep trying, but, since I never had my other issue resolved, had to wait until the last minute to order (book unable to be viewed online). What now? Do you honor the coupon if your server is too busy for someone to get through before the deadline? thanks...

We do honor the coupon after it expires if you could not upload. In fact it is extended until 11/9 so don't worry about that. Things should die down. I recommend waiting until tomorrow morning to try your upload again.
