What size was your book?

I just downloaded a book for order and it was 39 pages, all but 2 pages were PP slides, made larger in PP and then saved as JPEGs. Anyway, my book ended up being 16.7 MB. Is this too small? Is it going to turn out bad?

Honestly that sounds like its very small for a 39 page book.

What resolution or size was each image?

Where did you get your images from?

I did each slide in powerpoint but made each page 48 X 36. The images were high quality, each actual image in the slide was between 2 - 4 MB. The powerpoint slides that I put in were each 3072 x 2304 in size and between 300 and 600 KB each.

It sounds like you downsized your images. Is there any way you can increase the resolution of the pages you saved? I find that each page should really be at least 1MB.
