problem adding photos

i am using the bookmaker 2.1 for mac. i am trying to use .jpgs that i created in powerpoint. i have imported the jpegs into iphoto '08, and i can select to add them to my album from bookmaker (step 1). however, when i go to step 2(organize) or step 3 (make book) the jpegs are blank. there is basically a blue highlighting around where the picture should be, but nothing shows up.

is there any way i be able to use a jpeg created in powerpoint in a mypublisher book on a mac?

Maybe someone else can offer a suggestion here. I don't know much about creating templates in power point.

I know people have successfully done this on PC's though.
