red outline

how do i get my pictures to be a lower resolution so that they don't have a red outline? can i do this if they're already in bookmaker or do i have to fix them on my computer first and then import them into bookmaker?

Are you certain they are too high resolution? What is the file size? Yes, you need to shrink them on your PC with PhotoShop or some other tool, then use them in BookMaker.

Thanks. the size is 2592x3872 JPEG quality 96. See the problem is, I don't know how to change the image size....I have Picassa, MS Paint, and Adobe 3.0. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

File size is more important than your resolution. Your resolution is fine but you need to change to 350 dpi. Your dpi of 96 isn't high enough for the MyPublisher presses. When you change to 350 dpi, your resolution szes will increase. You may have to lower your resolution to keep within the 1 mb to 7 mb file size. There are lots of posts on this topic.

If you have any program that will change your dpi, your resolution should be fine. Your file size should be between 1 mb to 7 mb.

Yes, I recommend 300dpi and keeping the image size under 5MB. The problem is that 96dpi isn't print resolution.
