I made my first book in 2003-4 with version 1 of the software, now I just made my second book with version 2.1. I am surprised how little the software has advanced in this time frame. Here are some features I would like to see in the software:

1. More layouts.
2. more control of the layouts. Why can't I rotate a photo 20 degree and have it slightly overlap another photo.
3. I would also like to see drop shadows, frames, and edges for each photo. If you overlap photos, then you need shadows.
4. Overlays... I would like to place one images as the background, convert it to grayscale, then place other relevant images on top of it. I did this in my current book, but I had to use Photoshop for the effect.
5. Page spanning. I would like to take one long photo and span it across two pages. I tried this with my current book by splitting it into two parts. We'll see how it looks printed.
6. Image controls. I like the basic image controls you have, but I would like to see these as a toggle. For example, if I select B&W, then I would like to unselect it also. I know I can undo the last step, but the toggles would allow for more creative control.
7. More fonts for goodness sakes! This was my big complaint before with only 3 fonts, but it is still bad. And why in the world is the font size limited to size a small size on the title page?

Thanks for listening.

I'm surprised no one has commented on this after two months. Am I the only one who would like to see these features?

Hello osu9400 -

Thank you for the feedback. We are continually trying to improve the number of layouts, font options...etc. Unfortunately today, you can't change the templates or move your photos around, however we are adding many of the features you are describing soon!

Stay tuned,
Sincerely,
MyPublisher
