My book of our trip to the UK back in May arrived today. To put it simply....it's awesome.

After waiting anxiously most of the day, I finally heard the FedEx truck pull up in front of the house. I met the driver at the door and quickly opened the box.

What struck me immediately were the size (over 11" x 8.5") and the quality. It's readily comparable to any high-end coffee table book you'd get at Barnes & Noble, etc., printed by a "professional" publisher.

Page thickness is excellent, with no picture bleed-through from front to back, even on pages where the background colors are vastly different (i.e., black to white background, gray to white background).

My book includes both color and B&W pictures, several full-page shots, and the quality is consistent throughout.

Shipped, it cost $95 for 74 pages and a cover. There are about 135 of the best pictures I took, and the photos are nicely sized.

I will admit that I was a little concerned about how the photos would come out, even though I made sure that I followed the image sizing guide outlined on the MyPublisher site. I'm now happy to say that my fears were truly unfounded.

I uploaded the book last Monday, and it took 4 days to receive notification that it had been shipped. Total time from upload to having it in-hand......8 days.

Needless-to-say, I'll be ordering a second copy (at 40% off) to send to our London friends, with whom we stayed during our trip. After all.......they're in the book!!

Thank you, MyPublisher!

Sincerely,

Art Tedeschi

Thanks for sharing your book! It looks amazing!

What a great idea to put a quote at the beginning. Also, I must say I really like that MP now has the option of using a black background, it really makes the pictures pop!

I will be starting a wedding album soon & can't decide whether to use the "wedding style" or to use the modern style with the black pages... it's a tough call!

Thanks again for posting the link to your book... it helps to get ideas from others!

Thanks for the kind words, they're much appreciated.

I searched for an appropriate quote, and think I found just the right one on the Bartlett's Quotations site. What's really nice is that the page before the quote page is opaque, and makes for a gorgeous presentation.

Just an aside.........my wife brought the book to work this passed week, and just had it laying around, not saying anything about it. A few people saw it, thought it was something we had picked up on our trip, and started looking at it. They were SHOCKED to turn the page and see US in the book! Needless to say, they were quite impressed, everyone had a good laugh, and SEVERAL people said they had a great new idea in mind for a Christmas present.

Too bad MyPublisher doesn't have a "referral" program. LOL!!

Actually-They have had programs in the past! I think they still have it too :) It's $20 off of a book for every referral that makes a book :) Granted, I don't think you can combine the offers so if 3 people make books you can't get $60 off it but still a good deal :)
