Fatal Error

I was working on my wedding photobook and near completion when my computer froze. After booting it up again and trying to open MyPublisher, I now get this message:

FATAL ERROR:
Failed to access file "open": C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\MyPublisher\BookMak er\books.xml.
Unfortunately, BookMaker has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Please restart your computer and then download and install latest BookMaker software from our website, MyPublisher.com.
This should solve the problem.

I have restarted my computer, but haven't downloaded any yet. (I have tried to open MyPublisher again without success. If I do download the latest BookMaker software, do you actually think I can recover all my previously saved work?
