Download the software for ver 2.2 from the CostCo site:

http://www.mypublisher.com/associations/costco0605/index.php?assoc=costco0605

If you have already installed 2.2 from MyPublisher, download the CostCo version and install it over the MyPublisher version. Your discount is given automatically when you purchase a book. You can use the discount on several books if you can get them ready by 11/7/07. I've used it three times already.

I would suggest that you save the file to a folder on your hard drive. I named it CostCo and opened the .exe file from there. It automatically installs over the previous MyPublisher version. At least that is what I did.

Okay, I'm ready to downlowd MyPublisher 2.2 via the Costco site. From everything I'm reading in the forum, it will replace/overwrite the MyPublisher 2.2 version I already have on my system and preserve the seven completed or partially completed books I've already saved - I'm a little nervous about losing them. But, if I do this, will I still be able to take advantage of the MyPublisher discounts, i.e. the 2 for 1, the FALL2040, and a $20-off coupon I have as well?

No, with the Costco version you get Costco discounts, not MyPublisher ones...You can only use one coupon at a time.

I first heard about mypublisher from costco, but not sure if I downloaded it from costco or from mypublisher website. How would I know? I also am nearly finished with my book and would not want to lose it.

You can download from the Costco website to be certain. It won't override or mess up any of your work.

Sincerely,

Here's my experience: I downloaded MP from the Costco site a few days. I did not uninstall MP that was already on my system. The MP software downloaded quite quickly and at the end of the process, I was immediately sent back (automatically) to the book I had been working on. Nothing was affected. All my saved books were still there. Since then I've ordered a book and the process was almost identical to ordering directly from MP. The only difference was that the Costco discount was applied (again automatically). I was very pleased with the whole process and felt silly that I had worried about it. Cruiser urged me on and I appreciated the help.

Hi Nathan,

I replied to your private message and also viewed your wonderful book. Oh my goodness, it's so pretty. You did a great job!

On the Costco discount: I used it on an 86-page book. The full price for a photo cover/no jacket classic book for 86 pages was $105.14. The 45% Costco discount was $47.31. With the $6.99 for shipping, the total cost was $64.82. I thought this was a significant savings and am now rushing to get a few more books done before the discount expires November 7 (don't quote me on that date - it may not be right). The book has to be at least $100 to qualify for the 45% discount and an 86-page classic book costs just a little over $100. The 45% offer can be used multiple times.

Anyway, I was very pleased with the whole experience and give Cruiser all the credit. She's knowledgeable and very willing to help.

Hope this helps.

Marti

Nate,
Yes, the Costco discount is worth it. I have ordered four books so far and have received almost $150 in discounts. Two books were over $150 and two under $100. I even received a small $2.75 discount on each of three 20 page paperback books. If you don't have a Costco account, you can do it on line like Marti did. Go up to the message where I gave her the links. It costs $50 for a membership if you don't have one but your first book pays for that. You have to download the software from Costco but it goes in right over your existing software. Your discount is automatically calculated and should you decide to use a coupon instead, you put the coupon number in and recalculate your cost without the discount.

Nate, I can't find the message where I gave Marti the links. If you need them, I can look them up for you or you can go to costco.com and get the information about joining. Go to "photo" to get the software.

Cruiser's right. There are even little discounts. I ordered only a jacket for a book from another publisher that doesn't offer jackets. The cost is $9.95 for a MP jacket. When I ordered, a Costco discount of $1.99 was automatically applied. I wasn't expecting it and thought it was pretty neat. The $1.99 paid for half the shipping cost.

Cruiser and Marti,

Thank you so much for the information.
I'll give it a try. :)
Thanks. You two are nice. You both make this forum really helpful beside some other member like irusan, and of course the customer service.

Sincerely,
Nate.

You're welcome. We both asked a lot of questions when we first started and now we can offer help to others if we have the answers.
