What would happen if I left a photo box blank?
Would the box print a grey square on the page when the book is published or
would the background simply show through (the way it does for a blank text box)?
Thanks,

Yes, you can leave a photo mold blank and just plain background space is printed in it's place. The photo mold and caption box outlines do not appear in the final printed Photo Book. In our Bestseller, Modern, Just Photos and StoryTeller Book Styles the blank background space will be the same as the background color you select for each page - white, gray or black. In our new Book Styles - Wedding, Travel, Baby Boy and Baby Girl - the empty photo molds will be printed as blank white space. The background design/color will not fill in for these styles. However, the background design will show where caption boxes left blank.
Hope this helps you design your book!
