View Full Version : How maintain full photo in book?

This is a newbie question: It appears that all my photos are cropped to fit the proportions of a given page layout. Is there any book style or layout that allows me to place my photos in and preserve their original proportions?

If the answer is no, has anyone tried adding white to two sides of a photo in order to "pad" out its proportions so as to fit the allowable proportions? And then does that white "pad" blend with the background white of the page, or does it somehow show as a kind of artifact (which would not be good)? Thanks for any suggestions. I'm trying to not crop my photos -- I want them printed in full.

The white gaps fill in with background color. Just as a hint, if you pick a layout and not put a picture in one of the boxes, that will also fill with background color- just good to know to give you more choices on layouts. Look at the page in "preview" mode so you can see how it would print out. Hope that helps.

That is correct. You can also Zoom your photo in or out to display as much or as little as you'd like, as well as crop.

Ahhh, Zoom. I think that's gonna save me! Thanks for pointing that out.
