I just received my Deluxe book called "North To Alaska 2006". I'm pleased with the product, the jacket cover and the quality of the pages and binding. I'm learning more each time I make a book and use all the suggestions and instructions our forum members have offered me. I'm still having a problem with final picture product and perhaps that is because what I see on my screen isn't necessarily what I get in print using MyPublisher's software.

I calibrate my monitor using Spyder 2 and use Photoshop CS3 to process my pictures. I use the color mode RGB 1998 as recommended by MyPublisher's help files and print at 350 dpi as recommended by irusan of this forum. Still some of my pictures are washed out in print. So, now I start processing a different book which has to be printed in sRGB because the pictures were taken in JPEG and it wouldn't do any good to convert them to RGB because the color space just isn't there.

Please MyPublisher give us some .icc profiles to work with.

Here is my latest Deluxe album called "North To Alaska". Please enjoy...

Nicely done! I moved to Chicago from Vancouver in '98, so seeing the Butchart Gardens from Victoria made me smile!

A quick thought - virtually ALL pictures from digital cameras need some work on two things: sharpening and saturation. If the images are slightly washed out, try increasing the saturation in Photoshop for images that you've already taken.

For future pictures, increase the saturation in your camera. That should help with the washed out result.

Hi Cruiser:

I saw the link to your book, "North to Alaska" and the book is really exceptional! Your photos are beautiful and the layouts are striking! I thought, after seeing it with the pages turning so realistically, it would be fun for me to share my own books, too. But when I typed in the same URL you used, with the Book ID for my own book, a window came up saying that page doesn't exist anymore. Do you know why it might work for you and not for me?

Thanks,
Marti

I opened my book in the bookstore and saved the url as a bookmark. When I want to share the book I cut and paste the url into the email message, Did you open your book through the bookstore and your password? That is the only way you can see your book then you can save the url as a bookmark. Your book will have its own url.
