I'd appreciate any advice on using MyPublisher to create a photobook that can serve as guest signing book for my wedding reception.
What type of paper is used for the photobooks?
Will guests be able to use pens to write on the pages?
Thank you in advance.

It's a UV-coated paper. Standard ballpoint pens won't write very well on the paper. You'll probably want to use a permanent ink marker like a Sharpie. Just make sure it dries quickly so that
This has actually been discussed recently on another thread (http://community.mypublisher.com/jiveforums/thread.jspa?threadID=319&tstart=0).
Congratulations, BTW.

Unlike the first reply my guests had no problem using regular pens on the guest book. I did have some of the fine point Sharpies just incase though. I didn't put pictures on every page just because we were having a large wedding. Have fun with it and good luck.

Regular pens worked fine? That's great to know, thanks!

I actually used a MyPublisher book for my own wedding guest book, only a few weeks ago :o) and I used a sharpie-type pen from Michaels (the craft store). They have a great selection in their Martha Stewart area with very classy colors.

Hoping to create a guest book for my daughter. Just started researching this so my question may have already been answered somewhere - but, is there a way to creat lined pages for guests to sign? Thanks for your help!

Suemom,
If you use Photoshop or Elements, you can easily create a guest sign in page for your book. You could add pictures, lines, or whatever you want on that page. Save it as 350dpi and jpeg. Look at the Using Photo Processing in this forum for lots of helpful information. You could use the same template to make several pages if you are expecting a lot of guests.

Suemom,
I forgot...you can use the adjust size feature to size your guest sign in page. I did that when I typed a two page narrative for one of my books. To make sure the margins and the edges were ok for printing, I used the adjust size to give myself plenty of side room. On my Classic book, I had to allow about 1/2" additional for the binding.
