Hello, I've been using iPhoto & creating books for years, upon upgrading to iPhoto '08 I found that they no longer support the theme that I've been using for the aforementioned books -one that includes the caption for each photo. After reviewing your website & reading these forums (very impressed with your support) I decided to give it a try & downloaded your software. I was encouraged when BookMaker recognized my existing iPhoto library but when I began creating a book & selected a theme, the captions & titles didn't transfer with the images. Is there a way to make this happen? I make an annual book for my wife (& abridged version for my parents) & wouldn't want to have to retype the captions for hundreds of photos.

As a general remark/request/comment; I am surprised that none of the photo-book services seem to provide theme(s) that allow you to include a caption & title for each image. Wouldn't most people want this feature in their family albums as a reminder of what/who was in their photos in the years to come? When looking at my parents old photo albums, I am continually pulling out the photos to read what was written on the back, with these digital books that information is simply lost for future generations.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Wanted to say, I agree 100% and this is my concern as well. If I just wanted a photo album, I would make one the traditional way. But I want something more like a scrapbook (but without the scrapping) that allows not only for captions, but for some journaling as well. Some of your competitors are doing this and that's why I just used them for my last album. However, I think your quality is better so I'm back. But please consider making this change. Your product would go from good to great.

Thank you,
Christine

I just finished submitting a family album with 3 generations of members identified. I did it with Photoshop and included captions and different backgrounds. If you don't have a photoediting software with layers to work with but you can add text to your albums that way, it might still work. It has turned out to be a terrific method of saving photos with names inherently attached and great for preserving old photos. Good Luck to all.

I have been creating my pages in Photo Shop.
PhotoShop has great options to work. I am just learning the software, and I have made some amazing pages for my grand daughters book.
