Portrait Images in Landscape Molds

For some pages I may want to have 12 photos, yet some will be portrait mode photos (Height/Width = 4/3).

I figure one option is to zoom out so that there's extra white space on the sides of the photo. Any problem with that? Anyone tried it?

Any other suggestions?
