To My Publisher,

I downloaded the new 2.2 version. My book was ready to purchase, but I decided to see what the new customized cover would look like.

Now, there seems to be no way to get back to the original cover. Or is there?

I need answers to the following:

1. Can I get back to the old style jacket?

2. The new pictures I used for the customized jacket are not labeled as to page or placement on the "organize page." Should they be?

3. What order is used for the jacket pictures? I've organized them like so: front flap, cover, back, back flap. Is this correct?

I'm most concerned that the new pictures are not labeled and do not have the link symbol over the left corner.
The original cover photo is still labeled "cover" and has the symbol.

The new pictures show up in the top tray, as if they were not used, when I'm in the "make book" mode.
Also, when entering text, the type does not appear in the upper tray in the 2.2 version.
If it's supposed to be that way, it's not an improvement. The text is too difficult to see and edit in the box.

I'm using the forum instead of e-mail so others can benefit from your responses.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,
1. To delete the adv. jacket, go to file, DELETE JACKET and it's gone, and you will have your original jacket back. I had the same thing happening to me, and got back to my 'old' jacket that way.
2. As to the labeling of the pictures you used for your advanced jacket, I think this jacket is a kind of stand alone item.

As I don't have access to the actual program at the moment, I can not answer your last question.
Hope this was of help to you.

That is correct. You can delete the Advanced Jacket and go back to the regular book jacket if you would prefer. As you design the Advanced Jacket, each panel is labeled as to front, back, front flap, etc. so you can visualize how it will appear on your book.
Advanced Jacket Maker is a separate mode than the BookMaker mode so that would explain why your photos are still available for use when you return to BookMaker.
With the new version, we have added in place text editing on the page where you are inserting text. We, as well as many of our customers, thought this would be easier rather than opening a text box at the top of the design page.
Hope this helps!
Sincerely,
MyPublisher

Thanks for the responses. I did finally figure out how to delete the cover in "file."

I've started a new book, and I'm getting used to typing in the boxes. With 10 point font, however, it is hard to see the text and the curser clearly enough for editing. The ability to zoom in for proofing is good, and it would be helpful if we could also zoom in more for typing. Don't know if that's possible.

My Publisher will reprint my first book because some text in the original was faded, but the book itself and the pictures are just beautiful. I showed it off at my book club, and everyone's ready to make their own.

You have a great product. Thanks again.
