For downsizing some 7 megapixel images, Paintshop Pro gives me the following algorithm options:
Bicubic
Smartsize
Bilinear
Pixel Resize
Weighted Average
Which is best (my images are regular old scenery and people photos)?
Thanks!

I left my 7 mb pictures at 7 mb and they worked just fine. I worried so much about resizing that I completely lost the fun of making the book. My last book was a Deluxe Album with 47 pages and 120 pictures all ranging from 3.5 to 5 mb. It took longer to load (about 35 minutes with a cable connection) but even in the MyPublisher directions, they say file size will be about 8 mb. I use Photoshop and 350 or 300 dpi. If the file size is over 8 mb, I will reduce it slightly but not much.
I just uploaded a book with files as large as 8.1 mb.
You can resize within the program by using the adjust features.

ALWAYS use Bicubic when re-sizing - it will give you the best result. What bicubic resampling does is to average out the pixels.
