View Full Version : Guidance on Resizing Images

From my understanding, for the best quality print, the size of the image must be neither too small nor too large for the size it will appear on the page. Therefore, I must use my paintshop pro's resizing tool to reduce the sizes of images that are too large.

First question: Why can't MyPublisher's app resize these to the ideal? They should be able to do just as good a job as my paint program.

Second: There are many different printed image sizes depending on the layouts. As a result I need to know ahead of time which image will be displayed at which size before I add them to Bookmaker. Please note that this makes the planning much harder.

Is there a comprehensive list, for all the possible sizes, of the ideal image size?

Third: To make things simpler, I'm considering resizing all "too large" images to 2048 x 1530 -- do you think that size would be OK even for 6x4 print size images?

Thanks,
