Dear MyPublisher,
In the last month I have ordered, and received, 5 books; and I am very happy with each one of them. Then version 2.2 came out, with this wonderful new feature: COVER JACKETS.
So I designed and ordered a jacket, and again I could hardly wait to get it.
And then I was disappointed: The photos are as beautiful as ever, but the text on the inside flaps is barely readable. I used the biggest font possible, but you would still need very bright light to be able to decipher it.
I thought I did everything correct when designing this jacket ? on my screen it looked beautiful. Is there anything I could have done to avoid this disappointment?

Also, when you are getting ready to test a new version of this product, could you please put me on the list as a beta-tester.

Thank you,

ingtaylor,

What font were you using? I'm ready to send my book in, but hope I don't have the same problem. It sure would help if mypublisher would respond. They have not responding to any of my problems...and I've had plenty.

I was using an italic type; I am not able to see which one from this computer, but if I recall correctly, there is/was only one type of italic font. I used the largest one.
The background was black.
And I am sure MyPublisher will (eventually) answer my question; they have been very good at it in the past.

I'm sorry to hear you text was unreadable on your cover flap. The MP Peony font is a very fine font. We would be happy to print your book for you again to get it just right. Please contact our customer service department in order to work this out.
Sincerely,
MyPublisher

MyPublisher...

I just ordered a book with the Advanced Jacket Option and chose "bold" for the print on the flaps. Would this option make the print more legible?

Yes, a bolder type font would help to make Peony more readable. Since it is such a fine, formal script, sometimes when it is printed in white on a black background, the black can seem a little overwhelming for it. I would recommend using it as black text on a white background. This may help as well as bolding.
Thanks,
MyPublisher

After the email from Customer Service, I changed the font on my book jacket, and re-ordered it. I received it last Friday, and it is looking great.
Thank you so much MyPublisher.
