Hi,

I've been working on my book in photoshop, and I've been trying to determine what dpi settings I should be using.

On the MyPublisher FAQs in the help section, they recommend dpi of 180, 300, or 270. However, on http://www.mypublisher.com/help20/help_chapter6.php#f1 they state that they print at 175 LPI.

Now, I am aware that it is best to use an integer multiple of the printing lpi in the photo dpi, so I was thinking of saving my pictures as 175 dpi.

However, I'm confused as to why MyPublisher would recommend 180 dpi. Is there any other consideration I'm missing here? should I use 180 rather than 175?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Look at some of the other discussions concerning dpi. One of the forum members has given a lot of help and recommends 350 dpi which is double the 175 LPI (lines per inch) even though the picture size is small. That is what I made my last book as and the full bleed pictures turned out great. I wouldn't use less than 300 dpi even though some forum members say they use less.
