Problem opening My Publisher after upgrading to 2.5

I completed 3 books without any problems. I went in to start another on version 2.0. I upgraded to 2.5 as recommended but the 2.0 screen still comes up, will not open or close and blocks any other program window I try to open. I have to re-boot to get rid of the opening window. I uninstalled and reinstalled but the same problem occurs and it happens on both of my computers.
I am going on a long trip soon and want to create my book as I go. HELP! This is a wonderful service and I don't want to lose it.
