Hello there,

Please feel free to utilize our VINTAGE theme for your family tree PhotoBook. This has many layouts and designs that evoke an antique feel and background designs.

If you need anything else please don't hesitate to ask.

Kindest Regards,

MyPublisher

I'm wondering what is the best way to enter text that has the names, DOB, etc. for a genealogy. Is it best to create this somewhere else and save it as a .jpg?

Hello again,

In this instance you can opt for layouts that include caption boxes and enter your information therein. Or, if you prefer, you can use a third party photo editing program to incorporate your information into your images.

Please keep in mind all images must be saved in a .jpg or .jpeg format. MyPublisher cannot support .doc files, however if you'd like to convert these files to .jpg or .jpeg's, you can certainly do so.

If you need anything else please don't hesitate to ask.

Kindest Regards,

MyPublisher

I think you're going to have to use a 3rd party software for the tree pages.

If you have genealogy software, check and see what kind of reports it creates.
I have a family tree software that outputs rather nice looking trees. I haven't checked if it saves them to a .jpg format file, but I could at least print off the tree and scan it back in as .jpg to use in a book (I haven't done anything like that yet, but it's an idea).

Perhaps you could find something useful doing an internet search for "family tree template".

I just finished a photobook of our historical family pictures. I found that the pages in the Vintage for text limited the amount of text too much, so I agree that using a jpg of your family tree would be best, and then use a full page layout in the photobook. Using branches of your tree for each section of your book might also be wise, as a full family tree can be huge! Good luck. Let me know how it goes, as this is my 2nd book, and I am on to my 3rd, but I am thinking in the 3rd one, I'd like to include tree data.;) As an afterthought, my vintage book came out amazing. Even low resolution photos, scanned at 1200 came out incredible!
