I am trying to do a panorama in the deluxe size album. I used 1 photo and divided it into 2 pictures each sized at 8.4" H x 6.9" W. Each print was created at 300 dpi. I shared the album and also shared it with a customer service rep. and it looks perfect on screen. I also did this same idea and had a pocketbook made. The problem was the alignment was shifted when printed and the pictures weren't aligned. My question is:

-What size is the max size for a deluxe album for a full page photo?
-Also what is the dpi that is printed?

Finally, what size and dpi should I make each picture to be able to do this?
The customer service rep mentioned also to leave a 1/4" gutter on each pic for binding. Is that correct. Thanks for any advice on how to obtain my results for the 2 page spread.

Thank you,

Hello Thomas,

Thank you for your business with MyPublisher, and we're sorry to hear there were some problems with the two-page spread, which you tried to create in your book!

We reccommend that your minimum image size (in pixels) for the largest images (one photo per page) in our Deluxe books be 2850x2225. The maximum would be 4275x3338.

Our software doesn't exactly support a two page spread, but a similar effect can be achieved. Please note that 1/8in around your full-bleed images can be cut-off in production.

Please use ENHANCE PHOTO features like MOVE and ZOOM to position your images in full-bleed templates and compensate for eventual cut-off in production or binding.

To create a panoramic result over two pages, you will need to take the panoramic image and make two separate jpeg images out of it. Be sure to allow for the gutter of the book: for the left image, allow about 1/4" on the right side. For the right image, allow about 1/4" on the left side. Doing so will keep your image from appearing cut off in the gutter (the center of the book).

After you create the two images, insert each one into a one photo per page template without text. To ensure you have the layout correct, after you insert the images in your book file, click on the All Pages view to see it.

Please test your upload before the PURCHASE using the SHARE feature in the software.

Again, thanks for your business, and we hope this information is helpful.
