How excited I was to learn this morning that a new version of MP, 3.3, was available! Wow! What a let down after using it, or perhaps I should say trying to use it. I can't even get past the cover page without having serious issues.
Starting with Get Photos, I select several pictures that are potential cover shots and drag then into the program. As soon as I go to Make Book, the first picture selected just disappears!
Once I finally get a picture I like and go to the Cover Page in Make Book, I find that the "standard" design that I use for most of my books (a full bleed with type in the upper left corner) is no longer available. So, I pick something close and prepare to add type. Now I find that my choices of font size run from 7 to 36. What happened to the 38 to 44 sizes that were in previous versions? And why would anyone want a 7 pt font on a cover?!! After choosing from the available sizes of Verdana, I enter my title and everything appears fine. However, as soon as I go to Make Book, the yellow warning symbol appears on the title box. Regardless of the size font chosen, the yellow warning shows up. So, I can't enter a title!
There also appears to be issues with the Jacket Spline. In previous books, I have used a 16 pt Verdana Bold. Now, with the exact same title for a book as before, a 16 pt doesn't fit (even though it is within the length of the text entering box). Going to a 14 pt, the title becomes so small, it only covers half the lenth of the spline. There should not be that much difference in 14 and 16 pts.
The only good news is that so far, 3.3 has not crashed.
What is going on, MP? It's not going to take much more for your loyal users to decide that enough is enough.

Hello Papadonzzi,

Thank you for your continued business with MyPublisher, and I'm sorry to hear that you're having some performance issues with the new software!

Please reinstall a fresh copy of version 3.3 directly from our website over your existing copy, as this will correct the image that you've described.

Don't 'Uninstall' or 'Remove' the MyPublisher software. Instead, just follow the link below to download and reinstall the software over your existing copy.

http://www.mypublisher.com/newGetStarted.php

Save the file to your desktop, and then double click to 'Run' the installer and accept the license agreement. As the installation proceeds, you may see a prompt to allow or deny MyPublisher's access to the internet through your computer's firewall software. It's imperative that you allow the program 'full access' in order for it to function properly.

Regarding these change to the Cover options and text, while we have made some improvements, we haven't deleted any of the existing layouts. So, please make sure that you're working with the same style for your book that you'd previously worked with. You can then change the Cover template at any time, by clicking on 'Page layout', with your Cover page selected.

The font size options will vary, depending on the style and template which you're working with. These are set to allow for optimal quality in your printed books. Please double-check to make sure that you don't have any additional space below the text that you've entered, like "enter" or "spacebar" returns; these can often cause size-limit errors. You may want to try simply highlighting the entire text/space in the box, deleting your entry, and then retyping it again, being carfeul not to include any additional spacing after the entry.

Again, I apologize for any inconvenience, and we appreciate your continued patience and understanding with these problems.

Sorry, but your suggestion to redownload the software didn't work. I've done it twice, started a new book each time, and all of the issues described in my original post are still there.
