Anyone have any ideas on how to create a recipe book with BookMaker's layouts?

I made a few recipe albums using this technique. One was of my Great Aunt and all her fabulous recipes. I had photos from childhood until now and labeled each section of the book using each photo. (baby photo...appetizers, childhood photo....hors d'oeuvres, etc.) I then typed up her recipes and asked her what made them special and where they came from. We even made some of the recipees and took photos for the album. When the family saw the album, I had to made ten more copies. She has since passed and we have a family treasure to pass down to the next generation.

I have also made recipe albums for brides-to-be for showers using photo of the guests and their recipe.

What do you have in mind for your recipe book?

I added her words to the bottom of the page to make it more personal. Such as Auntie Debbie said "this was my most favorite chocolate cake!" Hello

I am new to the site. By any chance can you share your album so I can see what it looks like on what you are describing on a recipe album. I am making different one's I have a bridal shower for my niece to make but i am wanting to make it different. So if can see what it looks like it would be great.

I am more of a visual person than, what i am as trying to picture it on my head.

Thank You

Hey Angie -

One suggestion that I've see customers use is to either use a full bleed photo on one side of the 2 page spread and on the opposite side, use a "text" only template that allows you to type in the recipe. The other idea I have is to have the bridal shower attendees give you the recipes in advance. Then you can scan them and put them into the book as images. You can even ask the attendees to give you photos of the final dish or decorate the hand-written recipe! Sounds like a great idea.

Sincerely,

I recieved an email with a caption that said PhotoBook Idea #88 regarding the recipe idea. On the opposite side of the 2 page spread where you would type in the recipe, which "text" only layout would you use so that the recipe area is bigger than a "12" font? The sample showed a picture with the recipe. Is there any way to do that?
