I have downloaded the 3.2 version and now I am not able to edit/modify any of my text feilds....

I can click on the text boxes, however when the window opens with what should the different font styles, size, under line, bold etc... it is blank.

I have a box that is essentially ready to publish/order, however I need to alter some text and I am unable to do this.

Suggestions.???

I am not sure what is happening. I suggest you call us at 1-877-411-6978 so we can try to figure out what went wrong. If something simple like restarting the software doesn't help, then one of our tech specalists can hold a WebEx session with you to try to investigate.

Has anyone else had problems with text editing in version 3.2? I have been working on a book and am finding 3.2 unstable. When entering text or trying to change fonts or type sizes MyPublisher exits without warning. Any ideas?

Hi,

Please try closing the software and then opening it again and see if this helps.

If you are still having trouble please close the MyPublisher PhotoBook program, visit our website at http://mypublisher.com/newGetStarted.php

Click on the “Download” button, click “RUN” and accept the license agreement. Don't worry, the book file in your current software will be transferred to the new version.

If this doesn't help please call if possible at 1-877-411-6978 or e-mail us at customerservice@mypublisher.com so we can investigate this matter further.

Yes, I too am having multiple problems with the software, mostly related to text editing.

First of all, the caption editing is difficult at best. It seems impossible to move fields around and hence I am locked to the caption positions that the template deems best (which is strangely limiting). It also looks like it uses its own text edit control, rather than the Windows standard ones, so it's very difficult to use and none of the standard text editing keys work (like highlighting with shift+arrow, ctrl-b for bold, etc.).

But more important than that, I've encountered a major bug. When I go into caption editing mode, my editing bar (with the font, B/I/U, etc.) is entirely replaced by a random menu entry from the edit or help menus. If I exit and restart, the edit bar is replaced by yet another menu entry. Needless to say, this makes text editing impossible.

Any suggestions? Also, is there a way to move caption fields (so I can position my own text) in the current version? If not, can we get that enhancement? It'd make setting up pictures a lot more flexible.

Thanks so much for your business with MyPublisher, and I'm sorry to hear that you're having some trouble editing your captions, using version 3.2 of our software! I hope we can help you solve this problem.

Please note though, that the positions of the caption boxes may not be moved within a template. If you wish to have a different layout to the page, you'd need to change your Page type or Page layout.

Otherwise, I'm sorry that the Text Editor Tool isn't displaying properly in our software for you. This is definitely a strange occurrence!

Please try resizing the our software's window by dragging the corner of the program and making it either larger or smaller. Then close the software and re-open it. The Text Editor Toolbar should now display properly.

You'll also need to ensure that your display DPI is at the 'normal' setting, which is 96dpi, for MyPublisher to display menus and palettes properly.

I hope this helps, and I apologize for any frustration it might have caused.

I also am having problems with v3.2 text editing. Multiple times the application just exits, with no warning. Information is usually not lost but it is very frustrating. Also, many of the text editing functions don't seem to work - for example I cannot switch the text justification once any text has been entered.

Also, although at one time I was able to view the text on the album cover spine, back, front flap, and back flap, I now am unable to view any of them when reviewing or "making" the book, even when resizing the application or zooming in or out. However, if I click on the text area I can see all of the text. I am afraid to submit the book as I don't know whether these areas will print. All captions and text in the interior pages are visible.

We highly reccommend if you haven't already done so, to try downloading and installing a fresh copy of the software, over your existing one, according the instructions above. You should also try adjusting your window and settings, to see if this helps too.

Add me to the list of people who are having trouble with text editing on the new 3.2 version. The exact same things indicated in posts above - namely, having a blank box instead of the usual font options when clicking on the text box - is also happening to me.

Worst of all, after doing a system restore to the previous version of MyPublisher, I am now no longer able to access the program unless/until I upgrade! I'm caught between a rock and a hard place now.

I was in the process of creating a 75-page book of over 200 pictures and text from our honeymoon as a gift for my husband for our 15th anniversary. It has taken me hours upon hours to do this book, and I was *this* close to being done when I was informed of the upgrade available, and *assured* that it wouldn't affect my existing book. If I have to start all over again, I can assure you that it will be with a different company.

I am having the same problem and am really frustrated. I was advised to download the latest version from the website but it has not solved the problem. I am waiting for tech support to offer some new advice.

I am having the same problems as everyone above. I have contacted technical support several times and received no resolution. I have been told to re-download the program (which I have done several times) or my personal favorite - try using a different computer!!! I find it hard to believe that these are the only solutions to the problem. Another thread in this forum was told that a fix to the problem was posted and is working. This was posted on June 18 but I am still having problems. This is ridiculous.:mad:

Having got an error message that there was a mandatory upgrade to version 3.2, I checked with tech support- they said go ahead and upgrade you shouldn't lose your book. So went ahead and installed it. I am now having huge problems with even simple text editing like changing fonts or correcting spelling mistakes. I have done as tech support have suggested and reinstalled the software twice now but it is still unstable and closes the program with no warning. Any text changes which haven't been saved previously are lost. This is now so frustrating and unstable as to be unusable. I was almost done with an 80 page book that has taken me hours and hours to complete. I really don't want to have to start over.

Is anybody else having trouble? Any solutions?
