I am wondering if anyone has had any experience making a book from old black and white photographs. I have made a book before but all the photos were digital. I would like to use old black and whites this time and am not sure what the best way is to get the best quality out of them. Has anyone had any experience making a book from photos that have been scanned individually and in black and white?
I would really appreciate some help if someone has any advice to offer.

Hi.
I scanned my parents wedding pictures (approx 4" x 5"). There were about 75 individual black and white pictures. I scanned in color at their regular size, and at 300 - 350 dpi resolution. I liked them in 'color' - they looked like sepia, but in the end, changed them to black and white with Photoshop software. I also did some repairs (rips, creases, & discoloration) to the pictures with Photoshop and created a 'new' wedding album. I did not use the My Publisher site, but I was quite pleased with how the album came out. Pictures looked as good as the original as far as sharpness and detail.
PS...I found information on another thread that said to be sure and scan in color and not grayscale. I guess the end product is better if you do.
