I am just getting started. I can't find the size image to use for the book setup. I shoot all of my images in TIF but believe the image size will be too large to transmit and use for the book creation. What is the maximum file size that can be used and in what format; TIF or JPEG.

Thanks for your help.

Rob, there are several discussions in the Problems and Solving section. I asked the very same questions last week. There were two long discussions on Photo Sizing. This is the last one. I hope the link works:

There is another thread where another member posted work flow steps for me. It really helped:

Maybe these two links will get you started.

One last thing I learned. Save your pictures in JPEG using Adobe 1998 RGB. The Adobe 1998 RGB is the closest to MyPublisher's printers. Also use 350 dpi and save your pictures to be somewhere around 2 to 3 mb. MyPublisher doesn't accept TIFF or anything other than JPEG. If you try to use larger pixel sizes, I understand your pictures might blur or pixelate. If the resolution is too low, the pictures might blur and you will get a red border edit.

I tried to stay close to 2040 x 1530 at 350 dpi but never lower. If I went larger by a bit, I saved it. I didn't want to crop my photos to fit into the 11.33" x 8.5" because I was starting with large pictures too. I just submitted my book yesterday and MyPublisher transmitted my entire book as 30 mb.

I have the 10 megapixel Nikon D200 and usually take in Raw. I use Photoshop CS3 to finalize my pictures. The second link I sent you above shows the workflow I followed.

I hope this helps.
