So here's the book I did for my parents and in-laws for Christmas of my little guy's 2nd year.
It was a lot of work with photoshop, but I am quite happy with how it turned out. I can't wait to do another one, when/if we get pregnant with our 2nd baby.

Wow!! What a wonderful book. I hope you are making him his own copy that he can drag around, look at, show off and truly enjoy. The second copy and the copies for grandparents can be kept for a life time. ;) (Yes,I think you should get a copy for yourself and for him. LOL.)
You did a beautiful job and also I enjoyed reading your story. You will treasure that book forever.

Very impressed with the style of your book. Some very neat effects, not just the colourized parts but the way some photos are layered over others and zoomed in etc.
Could you please tell me how you did this..assuming it took a while to do..effort well spent though in the long run. Any particular programs you used?
Would appreciate letting me know, as in the process of collecting baby photos of my daughter for a book and would love it to look even half as impressive as yours.
Anyone else out there know how some of these effects can be achieved?
thanks for any responces.

Thank you for the compliments. :)
I used Photoshop CS3. I got a few ideas just by checking out some other books in the forums here. And some I dreamed up on my own. Definitely lots of layering techniques were used. If you have any specific questions about certain techniques I would be happy to share. Feel free to send me a PM, even, if you want.
