Hi everyone. Newbie to MP here. :) I have spent days reading through all the posts and looking at albums posted. It is amazing what you all have done. I am currently doing an album and I wanted to do some of the pages in Power Point. I have read through posts my CapeMaui and Marti and Cruiser regarding PP. I have saved them to a word doc and they have been so helpful. I have my DPI right and I have learned to do watermarks etc. I have learned so much by following directions from you all.
The only problem I am having is that whne i do save my slide as a JPEG and then bring it over to bookmaker the slide is too big it seems. The pictures on the slide aren't even all visible. I am assuming that means the slide is too big since when I am in PP it seems fine but coverting over to bookmaker it doesn't all fit.
So I guess my question should be what size should the slide be in order to work with MP? I am using PP 2003 if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance for anyone's help and all the hlep I have gotten from you all to get started in PP.

I don't use Power Point but I did try it. Make sure your dpi is set at 300 and your page size is set to fit the size of book you are making.

For a Classic book, I use 8.57 H, 11.2 W @ 300 dpi. Don't worry about the pixels, just set your size and see if this works. I also do not put anything important within 1" of the binding or 1/2" of the other three edges. I label my pages L or R with the number so I know which side of the page has the binding allowance.

Marti is the expert in using PP but she doesn't post here much any more. If you do find her old posts, she shares a lot of information.

I have the newest version of PP so I will look at it and see if these instructions still work and will let you know.

If you have a Costco card, Costco has Photoshop Elements Ver 8 plus a Scrappers Guide DVd for $49 until 11/29/09. They have a lot of great tutorials which would help you learn.

I found this article that might help you. Since I'm not too familiar with PP, I couldn't figure out what to do. You may be able to follow this instruction page to solve your page size.
