Hi. This is actually my fifth photobook with MyPublisher and I am still amazed with the quality. So far I’ve been using the templates but am staring to lean towards creating layouts in Photoshop. Check it out and let me know what you think. ;-)

Also, I have a question about the accuracy of the full bleed cropping. I can never see, while working in the application, that some of my full bleed images do not go all the way to the edges (not even in a preview mode). I only see it in the online preview version and by then it’s too late, the order has been placed. I’m not sure if the online preview shows the pages before they are cut or the way they will look after the cut. Hmm, I guess I will be able to tell that when I get my printed book.

Heksa,
When you find out about the full bleed, can you e-mail me and let me know?

I love your book. I especially love the picture of the three kids in silhouette with the jelly fish behind them. That was awesome.

Nice photos!
Is there a template for a full photo and then a little size photo on top of the full photo or did you do that in photoshop? Thanks!

Bill, it turns out that the preview is somewhat accurate, because one of the full bleed images that show a white strip at the bottom came out in print like that …. but some other ones, that don’t seem to go all the way to the edge on a preview, are cut right without the white strip. So, I guess there is some difference in an online version but not much.
Those little imperfections are not as noticeable in a printed book, though.

Thank you Linda. I get a lot of compliments about that one, and then I have to clarify that it’s not exactly a picture but a graphic. I did take a backlit photo of the kids but it didn’t turned out all that great so I used it to draw silhouettes in Illustrator and then layered them over another picture of a jellyfish. I’m glad you like it.

Well, the idea for this particular layout I got from another themed template on MyPublisher. I think it may have been a template from a calendar. Don’t remember exactly, but for the book I had to do it in Photoshop. Thanks.
