When I try to type in text, the program automatically shuts down and everything is gone. Pictures are fine to load, organize, and place in the book. As soon as i go to type, it says theres an error and it shuts everything off.

Anyone else have this issue?

I have the same problem, I started the book on my desktop computer but as soon as I type the first letter in a caption the program vanishes. I exported the book to a mime file, copied it to my wife's laptop and have no problem with adding text, then I exported it back to my desktop and tried to add more captions - program vanishes again!

Hello,

We're so sorry to hear that you're both having trouble with the software shutting down, when you try to enter or edit text. I believe we can help you solve this problem.

Please download and install the most recent MyPublisher software installer file directly from our website once more, over your existing copies. This will overwrite your existing copies and any corruption that they may have, and will hopefully solve this problem.

Here's how:

Don't 'Uninstall' or 'Remove' BookMaker, just follow the link below to download and reinstall the software over your existing copy. And don't worry; This won't affect your saved books.

Click 'Download Now!' and then 'Save.' Point the download to your desktop or downloads folder. Once the download completes, double click on the installer file, named bmsetup-USD-en-US. Select 'Run' from the dialog box that follows and accept the license agreement.

Once the installation is finished, delete the installer file (bmsetup-USD-en-US) to avoid confusing it with the MyPublisher icon. Then, you should be able to launch the most current release of the MyPublisher software without incident.

We posted a fix to this yesterday and have received feedback from a few users already that it has worked for them.

Please be advised that this "fix" is not working and there are still multiple issues with the new version. I am still having the issue of the program shutting down for no apparent reason.
