Hi -- I'm brand new to mypublisher and have no experience with graphics software of any kind. I've made one book so far, and I found it very hard to rearrange the order of the pages. I'd like to be able to lay out each two-page spread, and then decide on the order of the book after that. I'd like to be able to move around the two-page layouts as a block. Is there an easy way to do that? If not, is this an enhancement that is being considered?

Also, is there a way to use two screens, so that the place you grab pictures from is on a different screen than the book?

By the way, this is a fabulous product. I'm very excited about my book and plan to order many more!!

It is hard to rearrange the order of pages, it's true. The UI for BookMaker can certainly be improved, but it's much better (in my opinion) than earlier versions. Like all things, interfaces and ease of use is an evolving thing.

In all seriousness, your best tool for doing layout, according to your described workflow, is a piece of paper and a pen. :-)

Sketch out what it should look like and then create the book with your paper in front of you. Since you will be the only person to see that sketch, it doesn't matter how much it sucks! :-D

Many people overlook this, however in MAKE BOOK the ALL PAGES VIEW button on the bottom-left is the best place to arrange pages. It displays your entire book with little mini open books so you can see the order/arrangement. That view enables you to drag and drop entire pages into the positive you would like them to be in. I do warn you though that sometimes when you move a page, other pages will shift.

Sincerely,
MyPublisher
