The photos I want to use (taken with a digicam) are:
resolution: 72x72ppi
size: 42.67" x 32"
If I use software to increase the resolution to 180x180, is that "cheating", or will results be ok?
I can resize to 14.63" width (per mypublisher specs), but height would be, proportionally, 10.972" rather than 11.3". Must I add a blank rectangle to each to ensure that final result is 14.63 x 11.3? Or is there a faster/easier way to get this right?
Also, I'm assuming it doesn't matter if I tweak resolution before tweaking size, or vice versa?
Finally, isn't 180dpi a little cheesy for printing? I thought hi-res (e.g. 300x300) was sort of mandatory for decent printing, no?
