Can I use two facing pages for one panoramic photo ?

I make a duplicate of the photo and place it in a full page template on each page. I then zoom and shift each photo until they meet at a common point.

If your photo hasn't the resolution to be zoomed in that much, use smaller templates that still meet at the center - this works well for cropping a photo into a two page landscape where the height is a half page or less.

Do you set your pictures so that they match exactly at the center, or do you leave some redundant pixels on each side so that they disappear in the binding process?

I am also trying to print double pages spreads and I want to make sure they are perfectly aligned in the center once the book is bound.
