Can you put more than 6 pictures on a page? I thought the layout was kind of set already? It would be great if you could change it and add smaller pics for a proof set. That is a great idea. :)

The templates their software presents max out at 6 pics BUT you can create your own proofing layout which could include several more images. This is doen using a photo editing software such as Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) or similar. Create a single black or white (or whatever color you prefer) background the size of your books full page then assemble smaller versions of all your proofs on the page in a grid layout. Maybe 3 down and 4 across. Save each page as a page number then assemble them in MyPublisher. Should work very well!

Hi Everyone -

Actually Wesb1999 is incorrect. Our templates max out at 12 photos per page. If you use the book style Besteller, Just Photos, or Modern, you should be able to use the templates that have 9 and 12 photos.

This would serve nicely as a proof book.

Sincerely,
MyPublisher

I have used the Classic book as a proof book for client to make selection from.

Although my publisher suggest using just photos or other styles of layout but it does not give your customer the image reference, to be able to make selections
This is how i go about it.

(1) Create a contact sheet using PS Elements or CS2 or what ever version you have. (for example the classic book is 11.25x8.75" inches landscape)

2) Set your contact sheet size to15 mm or approx half an inch shorter in both height and width. save these dimension as a template for future reference

(3) Depending on the number or files in total, or the maximum number or pages you set for your proof book i recommend either 6 or 12 images per side.save each sheet once flattened as cs sheet #1 #2 etc.

(4) Drag those sheets into my publisher, selecting just photos style and using it full bleed. Please bear in mind that the binding may hide some of the thumbnails if verticle placed at close to the page edge, hence the reason for making the contact sheet 0.5 inch shorter and positioning it closer to the top & outer edge of the book, ensuring all the image numbers are visible (especially those on the bottom row)

(5) Finally i selected 20 shots that i know they would want a larger copy of, these were added to the book as full page spreads throught the book some were converted to black & white others consisted of multiple images on 1 page enhanced with or cropped for a different effect!

I hope this helps. good luck
