I have been a Principal at an international school here in Beijing, China for three years and plan to stay here for several more. I have thousands of pictures from my travels all over China and can't scrapbook them because there are no supplies here. So I am excited about finding this method of publishing my pictures.

I love the idea of using Powerpoint which is a program that I am very comfortable with. I have read throught many posts but have this question: Is there a section about using Powerpoint first that helps newbies like me and give me some tips for getting the most out of MyPublisher?

Hi Roz!

Sounds like you have a very interesting life. In answer to your question: I think if you search in the forum on PowerPoint, you'll see all the threads on the subject. There's nothing formal that I know of here (or anywhere else) that specifically addresses PowerPoint and MyPublisher as a duo. I think most of us just kind of combined the two and were happy with the results.

Take a look around, view some of the scrapbook-type books that are posted online, and then give it a try. Make a 20-page book to begin with to test the results of your efforts before paying a lot of money for something you're not quite sure of. Good luck, but above all, have fun.

Thanks so much for your speedy reply! By the way, I love you Europeon travel book!

I looked through the listings of forums but didn't find any forum on PowerPoint. Guess there's something I'm just not seeing!!

Thanks for the compliment, Roz. Okay, on the search, try this:

Go to the main Forum page.
In the upper lefthand corner is: "Search All Forums".
In the box, type "PowerPoint".
On the next screen, select "All Categories".
Check the Date Range and make sure you've selected all the dates listed.
Click on "Search".

It should bring up pages and pages of threads about PowerPoint (PP). I screen through them and take notes on the ones that would benefit me. Most every PP question has been addressed in these threads. See if that works for you.

Roz, I am not sure MyPublisher ships to China. You may have to find a USA address to have it shipped to. You might send Customer Support an email. I am looking forward to seeing your first book... I don't use Power Point but there are a lot of folks here who do. There are a lot of posts that will help you with set up for MyPublisher.

Good thought, Cruiser. That never occurred to me. I hope Roz checks that out before she gets too far along on her project.
