Scanning pictures that have some blurr

Hi everyone,

I have been working on a book for my family for some time now, but before I continue, i wanted to make sure of a couple things.

A lot of the pictures I am using have been scanned into my computer. The pictures themselves are blurry because they are from the 80's and 90's. Will these look even blurrier when printed out? (I just want to make sure they aren't any blurrier)

ALSO, I am making sure the images do not have a red outline around them (just a blue one). So if their is a blue, that means the images should be ok, right?
