This book was created using scanned photos (mostly 200dpi) and the layout was done in Adobe InDesign. I did some color correction of some of the aged photos in Adobe Photoshop. The family tree at the beginning was created in InDesign.

All in all, it took about a month to prepare, including doing the family research and proofreading.

When I was done in InDesign, I exported each page as a separate JPEG image, just as if it was a single photograph. Then I placed each JPEG on a single "full bleed" page in the mypublisher software and uploaded it. I need to work on the size a little. Some pages are supposed to be "full bleed" and others need more of a border than they have in the final printed book I got back.

I'm very happy with the final quality though and will be proud to give them to relatives as gifts.

Great job with you book, and what a great gift to give to your family! You're so lucky to have all those old pictures of relatives!

I enjoyed looking at your book very much! In fact, I would think your family would be proud to have this book as a keepsake of your family history. You did a lovely job; all the photos looked sharp, and I thought you did an excellent job of getting everything into sequence with so many people to account for over such a long period of time. It's also difficult to get a lot of small photos on one page without it being distracting or boring, but you really pulled that off well, page after page. Delightful book, and a lot of hard work: scanning, composing, organizing, proofing. The family tree page in itself had to have taken days. Beautiful job! Thanks for sharing.
