Hi, I was considering getting a paperback book for my recent trip--and actually planning on using my publisher in the future to always make little paperback books of my little trips or other things that I don't want to make a large scrapbook for. But I was just wondering how people found the paperback pocketbooks--in terms of quality and durability. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I ordered on paperback book for a Christmas present to some friends last year, and I thought it was great. It has a thick jacket like cardstock, like a paperback book. It is certainly more susceptible to damage that the hardbound books, but it's also not likely to be handled in a rough manner any more than a photo album would be.

If you do one, I suggest a maximum 3 pictures a page, with a preference towards one or two. Because it is much smaller that the Classic and Deluxe, very small pictures are likely to be too small. The great thing is that it is so inexpensive, and the additional pages are only .50 cents

I did a 20 page booklet. I would suggest 30 pages at least, only because it is very thin, but what a great deal for $15. Even at Costco where I live, I pay .17 cents a photo for 4 X 6's. That would be $5.10 for 30 photographs, or $10.20 for 60 (assuming 2 per page in the photobook). The photobook is a much nicer presentation (IMO).

I suggest you try one. It's a small investment, and I think you'll like it. My friends loved it! Especially the wife. Her husband, as I'm afraid is probably common among us husbands, had taken a lot of digital pictures, but never printed them out or got them developed. The wife, naturally, wanted something she could hold and show people, so she was thrilled.

Good luck. Hope this helps.

I made a few of the paperback books for my grandma.
At first they were cool brag books, for her to show her new friends when she moved out of state. Later, as she became forgetful, I made more books with shots of her fig tree back home, or the biggest tomato we picked, my kids mowing the lawn. Simple things
that helped her feel like she wasn't missing out on our daily life. She cherished them.

Awesome books, nice paper, not flimsy....for very little costs.

We don't have a lot of money, so these books have given us a way to make
one of kind gifts, that mean a lot, at a budget we can afford.

Just another affirmation that these little books are very nice indeed. For my Mother's second wedding we made them a full sized book, then took the same book and printed the small paperback books for all of the adult children of the new family. I have been told over and over how nice it was that we were able to share the pictures and often pull them out for their children to look at. I've also been told that this book is nicer than what the professional photographer provided. Even though the pictures may not be the "best" - they are presented very well and the print quality is fantastic.

I just received mine this week that I ordered for my parents of my daughter's wedding. They are older and so I thought a pocketbook album would be fine for them. It looks very nice but three pictures on a page are very small for older people. I would suggest to get a nice size photo, two would be as many as you would want to do. I love the full page photos. I am happy with it and especially for the price!

I just finished ordering a mini book with 24 pages. I put it together quickly and uploaded it in just a few minutes. I kept it to one subject on our vacation last year so ran out of full page pictures. I noticed that 30 pages was the recommended number since the book is so thin. Mostly, I printed a small number just to find out the quality of the book. I was surprised that I got a small CostCo discount toward my inexpensive little book.

have used the paperbacks a number of times and am extremely happy.....the size is great and does not diminish the quality of the pics....it's a great alternative to the large hardcover size and the price allows you to make one each time you travel and take a number of images....
