Hey all, please help a very frustrated newbie. I use Picasa editing software. Do not use Photoshop, do not wish to buy it.

I just downloaded the software for Bookmaker and ran into a snafu I never considered before. Picasa had two parts, the files you download from the cameras and their "albums." You cannot create a new file it seems, only an album when moving pictures to one location. However, bookmaker only recognizes the files downloaded from the camera!

Can someone tell me how to get Picasa and Bookmaker to work together? Either how to find the "albums" in the folder manager or make Picasa actually make a "file" that Bookmaker will recognize? I've been at this an hour and can't find any kind of answer. Picasa help shows how to make a new "folder" but that "folder" is actually an album!

Help please? Before I just tear my hair out. I would love one file I can move stuff back and forth between Bookmaker and Picasa so I don't process 300 pictures only to realize one 150 will be useful.

I use Picasa2 also and ran in to that problem. After you have done your editing, you can save the picture where you want. Just click on the export button on the bottom of the picasa screen and tell it where you want it saved. I try to save it in the same folder as the original with letter after the title. That tells me it is an edited photo.

Thanks for the quick reply. I finally stumbled over that solution. Hopefully this helps the next person who uses Picasa, which I admittedly love and is much more user friendly than Photoshop. Now if they could only develop something to get rid of that blasted date stamp....I'm working from 3 different cameras and sadly one has a really obvious date stamp. Ironically, its the wrong date too!
