Can't take credit, found it on the WUGNetwork forum.
This works for PP2007, all service packs, not regedit involved.
- Save the presentation as extended widows meta file (.emf), which includes all vector information.
- Then simply open the picture with your Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, and press the disk at the bottom to save as other formats like jpeg.
The only thing I would add is to NOT to enlarge the slide, use whatever size you are actually looking for. I've tried it and it works perfectly! And I should mention that I'm on XP, not Vista. Another user here is on Vista and that OS apparently does not have Windows Picture and Fax Viewer thus this option does NOT work without it!
Have fun!

One more alternative, but again, only for XP and NT, but will work for any program, not just PP!
If you are using WinXP or NT you can create a virtual JPG printer.
DO THESE INSTRUCTIONS ONE TIME
1) Download and install Ghostscript and FreePDF from
http://freepdfxp.de/fpx732.htm
2) Go to the Start menu and launch FreePDF (not Assistant or Join)
3) Go to Edit->Options
4) Click on Profiles and then New
5) Give it a name like "JPG at 300DPI"
6) Select "jpeg" under "Output Format" and change the DPI to 300 (t may
already say that)
7) Click on SAVE and repeat steps 4-6 creating a profile called "JPG at
600DPI" (or whatever other resolution you'd like) if you want.
8) Click on the "X" to close the window and then close FreePDF
Now...
ANY TIME YOU WANT A JPG FROM ANY WINDOWS PROGRAM...
1) Select FreePDF as your printer
2) When the dialogue come up, select "JPG at 300DPI" (or whatever) as
your PDF Profile. You can then tell it to save, e-mail, send to
desktop, or wait and combine it with the next print job. It will
create a file for each page and add "-01" "-02" etc to the end of the
filename you choose.

Did anyone thank you for all this, CapeMaui? I just copied and pasted it into a Word document, so I'll have it. Thanks for taking the time and trouble.

And Yes! I did just get it. I totally forgot to check and have not been on the computer for a while!! I'm working on a reply with my email address in it :) This way, we don't have to rely on the PM here that has no notification :p

as far as I know, no... I'm sure there'll be something for Vista soon though. You can try searching for it on google or live.com
sorry :(
