Serengeti safari & Zanzibar books

I recently completed a 100pg book from our week-long safari trip to the Serengeti in Tanzania and a 50pg book from a week stay in Zanzibar.

It took me 3 years to go through the thousands of pictures I had available, but the result is amazing. Both places possess unimaginable beauty and it's not hard to take great pictures that end up in great looking books ...at least according to me :)

I love your Tanzania book. We are going to Kenya and Tanzania on a three week safari in September. I would like to do my book similar to yours with the dates and story next to the pictures. Did you use the Storyteller book type for your text or did you bring it in from another source?

Big game hunting with a camera is the only way to go. What kind of camera did you use and did you do much post-processing? We shoot with a Nikon D300 and D50 in raw and process in Photoshop CS3. Did you use a long lens?

I hope we have simiar opportunities to "shoot" the animals. We live in San Diego and visit the San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Park regularily. We see these same animals in the park and zoo but it is quite another thing to see herds of animals in the wild. I visited Kenya and Tanzania in 1975 and this will be the first visit for my husband. Our travel agent sent us a letter from the U.S. Ambassador that it is now safe to come and visit. We are restricted to 33 lbs per person (small aircraft) so we will be loaded with camera equipment and a couple of changes of clothes and that is it. Pictures are more important to us than a change of socks...
