I haven't used MyPublisher yet, I have just used Blurb.com? Has anyone used Blurb who can tell me how the quality compares of the paper and the binding?

Hi, KFISHCO,
How did you like Blurb.com? I have not used Blurb, but I've checked it out - looks pretty good to me.
I've done 2 books so far with MP and I think they are great, although I have nothing to compare it to...
You can check my book, if you want. I'm not a professional in any of this, just like to take pictures of my family. This book was a Father's Day gift for both my father and my husband.

I liked the quality of Blurb. I have produced two hardcover books with dustjacket and found them to be very good quality for the money. Someone asked me if they have corrected problems they had with the binding and I don't know the answer. The Blurb paper is 80# and I would like to see a heavier paper like the one they have at AsukaBook.
What is the binding like on a MyPublisher book? They are very unspecific on the website about how the books are bound.

I have done books with Snapfish and the quality of the paper, printing and binding are definitely inferior to mypublisher. I don't know about blurb.com though.
I definitely feel that you get what you pay for with Snapfish and mypublisher. Snapfish is cheaper and looks like it in the end. The printing and paper isn't as bad as the binding. The Snapfish binding looks pretty cheesy, while the mypublisher books are really professional looking.
So far, I have done one book using the standard mypublisher layouts and another where I designed all of the pages in Adobe InDesign and uploaded each page as a single image. I definitely like the control of InDesign better, but I did my book using the mypublisher design in about two hours and the other book took about a month.

I use both. Blurb is fine. Biggest problem with Blurb is trying to do multiple pictures on a page. The software is the pits. As far as paper and binding My Publisher is better. I prefer Blurb on hard cover because of ImageWrap.
I do a lot of charity work, and trying to make a book for under $15 is a snap with My Publisher. i just had a paperback book of an American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay for Life. 34 pages, 216 pictures. With an order of six I got the cost to $83, which includes shipping. ACS is looking at selling these at $25 to $30 each. It took less than one hour to create the book. My publisher has a fast turn around. Sent a reorder last Friday (7/4), got them yesterday (7/9).

I have a friend who has created books using both MyPublisher and Blurb.com. She felt the photo quality (color) in her MyPublisher books was a little better, but she liked the price and turn-around time of Blurb.com. I've seen her books from both publishers and they all seem to be very good quality to me.
